My aim is to make the art classes enjoyable and relaxing, to generate the right atmosphere for creativity.
The studio is spacious and has lots of light, making it an ideal place to work. It’s also nice and warm in the colder months.
About the Art Classes
The art classes are small, no more than four per session. I find this works really well; it allows me to provide quality tuition tailored to each individual. The classes are run from the client’s perspective; what you are interested in, what you would like to achieve and the skills you would like to learn, all done at your own pace.
Of course, underpinning all of this, is learning the fundamental elements of art, to improve your work.
- Classes are held the third and fourth Wednesdays of each month
- From 10am to 3pm
- Drinks and biscuits are provided throughout the day (always a good way to start the morning).
- Bring your own lunch.
- It’s advisable to bring protective clothing.
- Bring your own art materials and equipment.
Price - £35.00 per session or £180 for 6 sessions (if you miss a session it carries over, you don’t lose it)
Workshops for Art Groups
Over the years I’ve been invited to teach workshops at many art groups. I find this to be engaging and the groups to be genuinely enthusiastic about having an artist visit their group.
We share knowledge and experience, which can be very beneficial to all concerned.
Workshop subjects*
- Observational drawing: Still Life/Portraits: observation of, composition, colour, line, shape, space, tone and texture.
- Painting: Acrylic and Watercolour Techniques: and also observing; composition, colour, line, shape, space, tone and texture.
- Mixed Media: Experimenting with materials and techniques.
- Collage: creating your own collage materials and collage.
* I’m flexible, most workshops can be tailored and tweaked to the group’s requirements.
Price - From £250 to £350 per day: The price depends on: the type of workshop, its complexity, the cost of materials provided and the travel distance.
